On occasion we like to use what I call "fake-out" ceiling tiles. A 2x4 ceiling tile that appears to be a (2) 2x2 tiles or a 2x4 tile that looks like (4) 6"x4 tiles. In Revit, I would love to be able to show the grid of the ceiling (2x4) in solid black lines but the appearance of the tiles (2x2 or 6"x4) in, say, a lighter dashed line. However, I've played with the hatch patterns that drive the ceiling grid and I can't find a "correct" way to do it.
I generally let the ceiling be just a 2x4 tile and then I go back with drafting lines on the ceiling plan and draw in my secondary dashed lines.
Does anyone have a better method than that?

Thanks.

You can make a custom pattern to get close to what you're after (maybe a dotted line instead of a dashed line since you can't control the color of this line).

Exactly. Double the lines showing the tee's. Use single for the other divisions.

I created this, you can't make the lines lighter, but at least they're dashed.

Close enough for jazz, I say.
Thanks, all.
