I have some transom windows that are above the 'cut' plain of the finished floor. Of course they show up perfectly in the elevations, sections and the window schedule. However my little town has a new engineer reviewing the plans for permitting and insists on wanting to "see" the window.

What I have been doing is moving the window to the 'cut plain' making a plot file and then moving them back to get the elevations. I tried changing the view parameters but the DWG get ugly and shows a bit more that I would like.

Is there a way to change the cut plain as you can in a section line.

Create 'plan regions' to display the windows.
View/New/Plan Region - sketch the plan region and then adjust the view range to find the windows.

you can add a Plan Region in the area with the appropriate settings for this

Daaa "hide element in view" It just a matter of experimentation is it not.

I have tried to work with the plan region but I am experiencing some trouble.

please take a look and give me some advise

problem: with the normal view settings I see the windows being cut. But the big bay window (if it's not the right name it's the one on the left) only shows from the top. I would like to see the bay window being displayed the same as the other windows.

I tried a plan region but that doesn't seem to do the trick.

open the "erker" Rfa > select the sweep you've created on top of the "erker" > visibility > uncheck " When cut in Plan/RCP"
