Hello, I am fairly new with REVIT and have what should be a very basic question that I cannot find an answer to. I would appreciate if someone can tell me how to edit the text, font and text size inside the Section Annotation Symbol. I have been able to successfully edit the text in the Level Symbols by right clicking the family, editing and then loading, but when I try the same with the Section Symbols and then reload the top and bottom lines inside the circle change size but won't show any text. What am I doing wrong? There must be a way to have text inside the circle in order to reference sections properly. What am I missing?
Thanks for your feedback to this inexperienced user.

Hi Antonio
In your project, if you select your section and view the properties, you can select the type of tag you want to use for your section head.
i believe you already know how to create a section head. File>new>annotation Symbol and select section head . Now you are creating a new section head.
The default view will show some reference plans and a circle. you can modify the circle as required. when you want to place text, you use text on the design bar. this text will not change with every section.
if you want to place a reference tag, eg sheet no, click on the label tool on the design bar and select the parameter you need. place it in the section head properly. you can select the label and modify properties like font, size etc. once your done, load the section family back into your project and modify the properties of your section to use your new section head.
Hope the above helped out.. if you need more info, let me know
kind regards
Winn

The documenting your projects tutorial goes through the process of making a change like this to a section tag. The tutorials can be downloaded from the following link.
