Halftone Problems

Started a new project in 08. Created a dependent elevation view and tried to halftone it. Got to halftone but now it is almost impossible to use the file because it takes minutes just to select one object and several more just to move it.

Anyone else experience this?

No, but it sounds like it might be graphics related. I'd try turning off Open GL and / or overlay planes.

yes we have experience. One of our overall exterior elevation has override graphics because we are trying to achieve the "depth" that is needed for our elevation. That one is running majorly slow. The ones that we have not done this to is running fine. We have open GL off and our graphic card is NVIDIA Quadro FX 3450/4000 SDI. The overlay plane is also unchecked, because if we have any of those checked Revit runs even slower than usually. We are just waiting for the last possible moment to do it to the rest of the exterior elevation.

actually noticed that we do have the overlay plane on. What does that do? should i turn it off?

I have also had the 'slow' problem when using the halftone on elements. I have tried to get rid of them all, but when I do open a view with the half-toning, the model slows way down.
