I need a new tool

I have tried this and maybe it is a wish list item but I thought I would post here first to see if anybody has come up with something like this.

I need a smart pline or a smart space tool. I want to be able to give it a square footage number that locks in so that if I move one grip the square footage will remain a constant. Am I asking too much?

Am I asking too much?I actually have this on the wish list. It may not have been approved yet, but I think I have seen this request come in.

Note I say I think because these wishes tend to run together in my mind sometimes :)

The new Area option for the Rectangle command comes pretty close to what you're asking for. Works with Chamfer or Fillet option as well.
