This one I don't understand. On the attached, I used the same floor type and they orient differently.

Does someone have an explanation???

No idea why, but use the align tool to align the patterns.

You may have to TAB through to select the floor pattern instead of the floor itself. You can also select the pattern (again, not the floor, by TABbing) and use Rotate.

Thanks Mike. I learned today that the floor type AND the floor pattern are not directly related.

I have also noticed that there is a difference if the pattern is a drafting pattern. If you rotate the drafting pattern, the line orientation remains the same. If you rotate a model pattern, the floor and the pattern will rotate together.

If your pattern is a model pattern, rotate your floor, then re-edit the floor to align with the walls.

It looks for the longest horizontal, if your room was diagnol it would go diagnol.
