I cannot export a rendering as an image. I have tried capturing the image, but that doesn't work either. The computer looks like it is thinking about it, but then nothing happens. Very Frustrated. I have rendered the same image on 3 different computers and still the same result on all of the machines. What good is a rendering if I can't export it? Please help.
Go File>Export> Image.
If you look at the rendering tabs you can also just click on Export Image directly.

Tried Exporting the image directly and have also tried capturing the rendering in the file. Neither one works. This Revit Architecture Suite 2008 Build 20070607_1700
Are you tying to export the captured image? If so you need to go File>Export> Image.

I have tried to capture the image and it will not capture within the file so therefore I cannot export that captured image. I have also tried to export the rendering from the "export image" tab under the renderings menu. I have the rendering complete but unfortunately I cannot do anything with it.

We've encountered this also.
Our workaround was to do a Print Screen and then edit the image in Photoshop.
Yeah, it SHOULD work in Revit as featured but since it doesn't, it's an okay workaround until the problem gets solved.
HTH.

We have experienced this problem and found that reducing the size/resolution of the image allowed us to export/capture.

Weve been rendering in RAC2008 (same build) and exporting without an issue. I too, would try lowering the resolution settings.
When i export, i leave it on scale to 100%, 150 DPI, medium, and medium.
I dont find much value in upping those settings, since i can make th eimage larger before i render it...
But i have found an image thats too large will encounter crashes during export...

Hi-
Thought I'd add to this old thread as I just experienced this problem also.
Can't export or capture a render I ran overnight. The image size was 10000x4707, exterior image.
This is an issue to beware of...Run a test to find your hardware/software limits, in lieu of discovering them when on a deadline.

I have found that printing a pdf with simple settings then editing in photoshop works better....and prints better. Just make sure that your crop window size is not too small.
