View Full Version : How do you plot DWF's to scale?

A lot of vendors send their drawings to us as DWF's. I set the plot scale to 1:1, but if you lay a scale on the paper, it is not 1:1.

Did the vendor use "scale to fit" when they created the DWF?

How can I make true full scale plots?

Thanks,
David

Plotting to DWF is no different than plotting to a printer or PDF or a plot file, etc.
The plot scale should be 1:1 when plotting from a layout.

If you are receiving plot files (DWF,PDF, PLT) and printing them out, and they are not to scale - then the original drawing was not plotted to scale. Not much you can do except adjust the printing scale on your end to make up for the error.

Is there not enough questions on the forums for you RK, so you're starting to answer posts from almost three years ago.
