Hello everybody,
I have a lot of imported dwg links - mainly our consultants files. How to deal with newly created layers in dwgs?
What I've discovered is that newly created layers do not appear in link, neither they are listed in visibility / graphic overrides / imported categories. "preserve graphic overrides" doesn't have any effect on this. Am I something missing or am I condemned to remove and place these links again from scratch and thus lose all layer visibility settings done so far?

Thanks for any hint, regards Frantisek Stafek

Have you tried going to the manage links dialog, select the dwg(s), and then reload?

I could not duplicate your issue in the way that you stated it. Whenever I created a new layer in my DWG the layer appeared in my Revit file and was automatically in the view.
1) When you attached the DWG did you select "Link (instead of import)"?
2) When you attached the DWG did you select "Current view only"?

The only thing I can think of is that, perhaps, you imported the DWG instead of Linking it and therefore severed the ties from the original DWG.
