I got a call today from someone who was trying to draw Model Lines in a Callout. The lines would pre-highlight and are selectable, but they don't show in the View. After messing around for a while, I realized that there is a difference in the View Range of a Callout: Floor Plan as opposed to a Callout: Detail. Both have a different View Range than the original Floor Plan view, as well.

I created a graphics that may help explain the differences, but that prompted yet another question.
Here's what I did:
I drew a few walls on Level 1, then:

Duplicated the View & adjust the Crop Region
Used the Callout tool's Floor Plan option
Used the Callout tool's Detail option
I created cropped views using each of the methods above. I then made 3D Views and changed their camera angle using the View...Orient...To Other View tool.
The title of each window explains which Plan the 3D view was Oriented to.

Apparently, the Callout: Floor Plan option includes only a View Range that goes from the Cut Plane up.
The top of the View Range is not the top of the View Range, but I haven't yet figured out what defines the top.
Anybody know what determines the top of the View Range for a Callout: Floor Plan?
