:veryevil: Gentle persons......?

Controlling the way a block insert plots is one of the big hurdles I must understand!

CURRENT ISSUE:

Most of my drawing output is monochrome. On occasion, I 'do' color. I am a fan of named plot styles and have one table of styles for each (mono and color).
The 'fun' begins when I have the layers assigned to a color table plot style and want to change to a monochrome plot style table for desired black and white output.

STEPS TAKEN SO FAR: (*!!$%%!!)

1.) Changing the plot style table to monochrome only - NO GO
2.) After that, I then tried selecting all entities' graphics,
changing their plot style to the Style 1 with the monochrome plot style table (Style 1 set to Black, No grayscale) - BETTER

RESULTS: Ah ha!

Everything adjusted except well .... the B L O C K I N S E R T S
They did not respond to the above changes.
When REFEDIT'd, the plotstyle behavior of the BLOCK INSERTS was set to BYLAYER.

***********
The BLOCK INSERTS seem to be the source of my pain.
How do I configure my drawing setup so I can plot block inserts either way?
***********

P.S. I review any and all suggestions on Friday, 8/6.

I'm not sure I understand your difficulty...

Let's assume two named plot styles: Medium and Fine.

Color.stb
Medium = Black
Fine = Blue

Mono.stb
Medium = Black
Fine = Black
