View Full Version : PAT works as a Drafting Pattern, but not for Model Pattern

I seem to remember that there is something that has to be included in a PAT file to make it viable as a Model Pattern. Can someone point me in the right direction? I currently have a brick pattern that works as a Drafting Pattern only.
Thanks,
Gordon
This is the PAT file, BTW.

First the obvious: did you add the Revit header with the
;%TYPE=MODEL
to the file?

No, I had not, and that is indeed the issue. Thanks!
I just wonder about the doco here. Even when searching for "PAT header" in the help file I get nothing. It seems the only place this is documented is in the Revit PAT file. And yet I need not open the Revit PAT file when I am trying to make a downloaded PAT into a pattern. Seems like this info really should be in the help file somewhere. But that said, I will be culling all that info from Revit PAT and putting it into a BIM standards manual. Might come in useful, on just about every project ;)
Best,
Gordon

It is in the help file. Just look for PAT.
