I'm finally being upgraded to 2005 but in order to do this IT have said the latest version of explorer needed to be installed.

This seem to have totally goosed my computer.
All I now get is a blue screen when logged onto windows.

I know this is possibly not an autocad error i'm just interested if the same happened for any of you people.

Further info.

Windows 2000 has been reinstalled (twice)
Base model Dell cpu
stone age graffics card (32Mb)
negligable ram (128Mb)

P.C. going to be totally wiped and down till monday if I cannot find a solution soon

Many tanks in advance

Richard

Hi

Does your system meet the "Recommended System Requirements" as set out by Autodesk -

AutoCAD 2005 - Features & Specifications (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=4005021)

To tell the truth I've found in the past that these kinds of specifications are the very minimum required if you want to work at any kind of reasonable level.

Looking at what they suggest for AutoCAD 2005 (once I'd stopped laughing & picked myself up off the floor), I would personally say at the very least -

Some kind of Intel® Pentium® 4 processor or equivalent
Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional (Personally wouldn't touch Home edition, though others have said in the past they haven't experienced any problems) OR Windows 2000 Professional
512 MB RAM (and that really is the very minimum)
Have a good one, Mike
