Hello all.
Afflicted for the quality of the English text, I use “Google Translate” to translate my French original text.
My question:
I seek the method, and the tool to be used, to create for “Revit Structure 2008” files “MSI” and “MST” in order to be able to proceed to the installation by “GPO”… it seem nothing to have on CD.
In the installation window of “Revit Structure 2008”, it has only the button there “Create Deployments” which gives a file “INI”; moreover, this utility does not allow to copy external personal files.
I await an answer because I did not find anything on Internet.
Hello Stephan,
Welcome stateside. :)
I suppose I should add, that you have seen an "Autodesk Deployment Wizard" for (AutoCAD, Raster Design & so on) just not one for REVIT.
I did a forum search but I didn't find a Deployment Wizard specific to Revit, however this thread (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=50872) over on the Revit Architecture - General (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=6) seems to touch on the subject, proposing two different approaches/files.
Over on the Autodesk Services & Support this solution is proposed - Error: Invalid Installer (MSI) file specified (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/item?siteID=123112&id=7340256&linkID=9243182). Now, just to translate all that into French...
Maybe someone with an IT background could chime in here to help us out, pretty please.

Hello L'irlandais.
I notice your title “French Forum Moderator”… if it is the case, us should write to us in French.
To note that I posed also my question about the French Forum “Revit Architecture - Général”.
As regards your answer, it is indeed “Deployment Wizard” which is not present on CD of REVIT.
The link of AutoDesk that you provided gives a certain explanation for “Revit Building 9” but the difference is that this product have a variable “Prepare Network Deployment…” that the version STRUCTURE does not have.
A colleague with me spoke himself about external tools for creation about “MSI & MST” but to hope to have a conclusive result with the use by GPO, it is necessary to proceed to tests and errors unfortunately.
I still hope to have other answers in order not to have to proceed thus… :^(
Thank you still.
Bye!
