Ok - start to upload some of these. others are still in progress - you can extract them from the file if you want them. check out some of the yes/no paramaters to change the closer details and frame details for opening in or out..... I like them a lot :)

Best bit - the windows display their width and height in plan views, nice for small residential where you dont do a window schedule (can be switched off)
You will have to insert these families into the walls on the other files to see them work, I really like these windows - now doing exactly everything I need from a window family(ies)
the cills contain the lintol details - that is why they have a height paramater. the opening arrangement is placed on elevation views......

single window - stick em together side by side to form multiple units... I have other families with muntins etc etc, and multiple units in one family but I wont upload all of that its too to post much really..

Thank's for them Martin, will have a look at them later.
Paul.
Many thanks for these Martin.
Thank You
Very Interesting Martin, I particulary like the cill and lintol detailing technique.
I haven't played around with them much yet. Is it intended that you nest the cill details in the window families likewise the opening arrangement? By the way whose windows are the timber sections based on? they look very good and expensive!
This is why we need the exchange up and running.

They are Nordan windows, very good quality :) - I had originally intended to nest the cills, but you cannot use a yes/no paramater that makes voids dissapear so I just add them in the model - also the opening arrangements, and the window families were getting kind of large!!
These families do suffer from the yes/no parameter not working in sections though, I hope this is picked up and fixed in the nest release. (ie the doors show both frame options in sections etc)

When I use this window with the timber jamb arrangement, not block, there are some little markings in the external skin of the wall build up about 100 outside the widow opening. What are these?

Onthe door families I have added red lines 300mm off from the opening of the frame for the 300mm nibs required in housing for varying needs (can be switched off with visibilty setting) .
I see what you mean now about the windows!! Yes the timber wall make up is 150 wide boards vertically. There is one on top of the other, and they overlap 25mm each side. I have just added the detail for this at each jamb, I think this what you are seeing.. if you look on the wall types on the original post it will make more sense :)
Left hand side of this window in the wall that this detail is suited to....
