Exporting Railing - lotsa lines

Is there a feature or toggle that can simplify the entity count of handrails when exporting? When I export the standard hand railing to an ACAD file (plan view -not 3d) I get 54 lines on top of each other, when all I see is the need for 4 or 6....

Mark, if you have Express Tools use Delete Duplicate objects.

THANKS! After going to the thread that beegee provided I went back into one of our models and played around a little bit. After changing the pipe guardrail profiles out to be square, and then deleting the horizontals that are in line with guardrail I was able to get exactly what I wanted; an equal ammount of entities to that which is visible. I then renamed the Railing family and can use this for just when I want to export.
The OVERKILL command as Nelson V suggested is very handy to use also.
