Believe it or not many font styles are copyrighted. I don't know if eng.shx is.

You have two choices

1. Contact the supplier of the drawing and ask for the font .

2. contact a font shop online.

...and keep in mind that just because you obtain a file named eng.shx, doesn't necessarily mean it's the same "eng.shx" that was used in the creation of the drawing. Your file could be different and be missing characters used in the drawing (you will see the ***Undefined Shape error).

BTW: Is this a font file or a shape file?

Your best option is to ask the person that provided you with the drawing for a copy of the shx file.
