I'm trying to set up a roof opening schedule for our office template. I thought I'd be smart and add project parameters to the opening category. Two problems: (1) If I create an opening, my parameters do not appear in the element properties, and (2) apparently you can not schedule openings.
I was kind of hoping to get around #2 by creating a multi-category schedule (where only openings would have the requisite fields), but I now doubt that would work, even if I could get the parameters to "stick" to the openings category. As a test, I created a multi-category schedule with "Category" as a field, but I can not create a filter based on a category of "Opening" -- even though the test project has several different kinds of openings (Opening by Face, Vertical Opening, Wall Opening, Shaft Opening, etc.).
Am I overlooking something, or are #1 and #2 just fundamental limitations of Revit?
