For many years now, we use a field in all of our drawings (2004-2006), which displays the filename. A collegue of mine now has updated to acad 2007 and now all of the automatic fields are replaced by a rectangle with a cross in it, even in older drawings. Is there a way to fix this? Probably a system variable or something I presume.
Thanks in advance!

Can you post a sample drawing?

Here you go, the field should say 'field.dwg' which works fine on my acad2006 but my collegues' 2007 just displays a cross.
Sorry for the late reply btw

Actually you are not using FIELD, instead it's an RTEXT which requires Express Tools be installed in your system. Search for RText.arx file in your system. Either it's not available or not loaded into AutoCAD should be causing the problem. I suggest you to replace it with a FIELD with same DIESEL expression

Same here ;)

ow, that would explain a lot :) Thanks, I'm rather new to express tools & fields, I'll check it out and let you know if it worked
