I'm sorry I have yet another question about keyboard shortcuts.
What I'd like to do is give a shortcut to the filter option. Is this possible? I couldn't find it in the keyboardshortcuts.txt. Thanks

Since you alreadt started this thread, I am going to pigy back as I have a related question.
Is it possible to create a keyboard shortcut for the 'View Range' command. I have not been able to get this to work and it is a real pain having to access it through the properties dialog.

I don't think you can since its essentially a parameter of View Properties. You can type VP and then select the View Range.

I think Michael is right, I don't think this is possible.

My understanding of the general rules when it comes to keyboard shortcuts are
if it is not a 'top level' command, i.e. one accessible through the menus or the first properties dialogue, then it can't be created as a shortcut (this would be the View Range example)
If the functionality of the command is only available on a toolbar (the filter button has no menu equivalent) then it can't be a shortcutIn other words, I believe you are out of luck on both counts.
View range is one I've wanted for a while because it is so tedious to get to. The filter is only one click away so that doesn't bug me as much
