Spending the last few weeks reading through the forums...I've noticed one very consistent misspelling that drives me absolutely nuts.

LOSE - To be unsuccessful in retaining possession of; mislay
LOOSE - Not fastened, restrained, or contained OR Not taut, fixed, or rigid.

People...you may be correctly SPELLING the words...but you need to make sure you are SELECTING the appropriate correctly-spelled word.

I have no idea what hoovering means, but I seem to always want the extra O in there. Maybe as someone pointed out, its the act of using a Hoover vacuum.

c'mon, they don't teach that in school (in hs my big sis and I had the same english teacher back to back years, we BOTH got in arguments with her because she didn't know the difference, also applies to her use of affect and effect, and ensure and insure). funny, right after that, she went back to college. hmm.
