So I finally have some breathing room in between deadlines and I am going to migrate the office from Revit 9.1 to 2008. Has anyone run accross a cheat sheet or check list of things to do?

Can I simply copy and paste much of the customized info (search paths, shortcuts) i the 9.1 INI file into the 2008 INI file?

One more thing, while starting to setup 2008 for deployment this afternoon. I noticed that Library search paths (settings\options\File Locations) there seems to be multiple search paths for the same thing.

As an example, there is an 'Imperial Detail Library' pointing to C:\Program File\...... & there is also a 'Imperial Detail Library (1)' pointing to C:\Documents & settings\....

Why are there 2 of these folders pointing to different locations?

If using the "Mirror Project" command is important, you may want to hold off on that migration.

I have actually never seen or heard of that command before. What does it do? Is there a bug with it?

Seeing how I have never herd of it, I doubt any bug with it will effect me.

I hope you're not wasting your time at installing the OOTB before the SP2. At lease, go straigth through SP1 witch has the most important improvements and corrections.

They are correct if you are just now install Revit Architecture 2008 you should go ahead and install the lasest build from our website.

Here's a thread on this now deactivated function.

I use it a lot but we design single family residential and often have to mirror homes. I haven't had any problems with it yet.
I would love to upgrade to 08 and was psyched to do so until this came about. If you've never used it and have no worries without it then have fun with the new version. Hopefully our office will be able to upgrade someday. It's kind of frustrating really. Some of the features of the new version seem sweet. I only go to mess with it for about an hour. Good luck and have fun!

I downloaded the latest build a couple of days ago. I never use the OOTB software
