New Build - Mirrored Line Based Families in Groups

I don't suppose the new release fixes all of the "Mirror Groups BADDDD" issues. Or, is it only the "Line Based" families. (The ones released in 9.1)

I am still trying to figure out how the fix works. If I have a line based family that sits on one side of a wall, I WANT it to flip when I mirror the group, I just want it to flip CORRECTLY. I have yet to test, but the idea that the family doesn't flip at all sounds like another version of broken, not a fix at all. Can anyone verify how the fix works in practice? Does it actually solve the problem, or just change the nature of the problem?
