Recent File List - more than 4?

Is there a way to have the Recent File List show more than 4 files last opened?

(File menu, next to the bottom).

I don't believe so.

There has been mention of freeware and shareware file organization utilities in the past to do the job you are after.

In a similar vien and not quite answering your question - if you set your file views to thumbnail (rather than list) and save your files in a 3D view, you get a preview of the file. I tend to approach the lack of file list in this way and set the folder that my working jobs are in on the preferences side bar of the Open window.
