I have a user who is having trouble loading families into her Revit project. She said that as long as she loads them before she does any work, it's fine, but after she's done some editing to the model, Revit crashes after trying to load a family. I have tested the file on my machine and haven't had any problems. This leads me to believe that it is a hardware issue, and of course, no one from IT is in the office today. Has anyone run into this before?

When you say crash, does it kill Revit ? I mean does Revit closes without any warning ?

Revit doesn't close, it just freezes up.

Try turning off OpenGl and Overlay Plane as a start.
Make sure you run the latest build and the latest video card drivers

Good point - I had thought of that originally, but somehow forgot about it. It worked with a quick test, but we have to see if it actually holds up.

Did you installed the latest build ?
They made a fair amount of work on that topic.

No, we're still running Build 20070324_1700. I'll have to talk with my IT guy about getting the latest build.
