Does anyone have or know where I could download a Railway Train component / familiy ? Even a 3D .dwg format would be fine - I could import that.

Evermotion.org is also a good source of free stuff. Mostly 3ds files though. There's a contemporary electric locomotive HERE (http://www.evermotion.org/index.php?unfold=free_stuff&offset=336). (about 5 rows down and 3 columns over)

there are train models - including a complete 'set' - in turbosquid the commercial model site, but not free.

http://www.formfonts.com the subscription content site also contains train models in Sketchup, 3DS and some other formats but I didn't notice any in Revit format.

Have a look in http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/ and enter 'train' in the search string.

There are quite a number of half decent looking trains and related objects in Sketchup format.
