How do you start Revit with file locations on the network and sometimes off the network with local content? In AutoCAD we did this thru profile settings in the properties of the icon on the desktop. I see that the file locations are stored in the "ini" file, just don't see the method for startup pointing to separate "ini" files?

Do you mean be able to set locations to load families from quickly? Go to settings and under options, select file locations. Under libraries, create a new library and set the path to either a local directory or one on the server. You can add a number of such libraries.

Every time you need to load the families/content you click load and on the left panel, you'd find shortcuts to the required locations, locally or on the server.

You should always run Revit off your local machine , but your content can be located anywhere. Just modify the options as above to make the process quicker.

Hope it helps
