2008 upgrade + 2004 NLM

Apologies if this topic has been covered before.
We are in the process of upgrading to 2008 from 2004 and I need to install the 2008 NLM on the same server as the 2004 NLM. I'm getting an error that the 2004 NLM exists and should be removed first. Can both be run together? if not what do others do? I want users to be able to access the 2004 licenses as there may be a delay in a few of them getting the 2008 upgrade.

You don't need the 2004 version any longer.

You can even do this upgrade while people are using the licenses. I updated 4 LM's in the middle of the day this way in about 5 minutes.

If there is going to be a delay on the upgrade you could also combine your license files so that you have 2004 and 2008 seats in the same license file. By doing this you could have your 2004 & 2008 machines going at the same time pulling licenses from the same file and same license manager.
