Spent all morning searching for this one- came out empty handed.

How can i position/number columns?( this applies also to beams and all structural elements).

I need to mark all identical columns by unique number/position.

Yes i can make a schedule and filter and sort- but now i need to show this result on plans by using positions/tags to columns. For example those columns that are all marked as CC-101 (concrete column number 101) are identical (length, cross section, reinforcement and etc). If some columns of similar reinforce patterns and cross section have different length - then they need new number CC-102 for example. You get the picture.

Did i make myself clear?

Of course this problem evolves when i need to make precast wall panels and number those - but this is probably a new thread or something.

Am i missing something or am i totally lost?

P.S apologies for my bad english

You can use instance parameters to assign these different values to each column. If you can't use one of the parameters that come as defaults you will have to create your own. If you need to tag the columns (walls, beams or whatever) then you will need to create them as 'shared' parameters.
You can create a new tag for the columns to include these parameters or modify the tag you already have to include the extra parameter.
Check the tutorials for information on creating parameters and tags.

Thank you. I got a working solution.
I sort columns by cross section and then by length.
And then give to members of each group same name via shared parameter.
And now i can tag it. Nice.

Is there a way to automatically number those sorted groups of columns?

Or something like P + (number by floor 1;2 etc)+(number)
P-112 - column on 1 level number 12

No, there is no possibility,
we also need it.

I had contact with robobat, they will bring an extension in november which can number and renumber elements.
