cutting a roof....

I have used the dormer opening tool.

The tool selects the 3 walls for the dormer fine. In (3-d) view and in (Roof) plan and in Elevation. I am unable to select the dormer roof. The dormer and the main roof are joined and I am still unable to select the dormer roof with the dormer opening tool.

I have followed all of the directions and i can cut what is the correct boundary......then i get a warning about circular referneces.....any help?

To get your walls back down to the floor use the detach button after selecting the wall(s).
The dormer opening tool works from selecting the 3 dormer walls and the dormer roof - assuming you have joined the dormer roof to the main roof.
