I have a plan with the viewport set to Mechanical and I want to draw symbolic lines to represent piping. My background is preset for halftone and when I draw my lines they also are halftone. I tried to override in V/G but does not seen to work?

I assume you can not draw lines unless they are halftone when you apply a mechanical viewport discipline. This seems to me to be a glitch in Revit.

I've run into the same limitation. The lines you're drawing are architectural in a mechanical view. The way around this (and the way we did it before Revit MEP) was to manually halftone everything but your linework.

That is basically what I did. I set a View Template to the view and tweaked the settings. Kept the disapline as Architectural.
Thanks for the reply.
