book tutorial

I am working through the new book. I tried to import the .dwg title block sheet into revit.It came in with very thick lines which would not turn off in the preferences dialogue after I did an overdraw. I tried it with one of my sheets with the same results. Regular sheets display fine.????

Which book are you referring to? How thick are the lines? It sounds as if your acad line import template may be set to import the lines using a very thick pen, but that is just a guess based on the information you have given. Go to File|Import Export Settings|Import Line Weights DWG/DXF to manage.

I'm speaking of the book "Introducing and Implementing Autodesk Revit". The lines were set up using the tutorial exactlu but with bad results. I'm talking about lines so thick, that they merge together. Full screen they're about 1/4" thick.

a quick fix -Go to view pulldown, then select "thin lines" Won't solve what's going on - though I could guess why the lines are thick, but you should be able to finish the tutorial in peace...
