Curtain Wall Placement, Revisited

This is a follow-up of a previous thread concerning how curtain wall align with co-planer walls. If I split a wall created with the loc line centered when I change the split portion of the wall to curtain it centers with the wall. However if the wall was created with the loc line, outside face, the curtain wall enters on the outside face of the wall. It appears I cannot change the location of the glass without messing-up the location of co-planer walls.
Is this documented anyplace?

Try letting the centers allways join, then using the offset property of the panel and mullion to push the curtain wall in or out. Note that this has a global effect so you may need to create diff. panels for diff. offsets.
