In a project that I am working on, I have a deranged wall. As you can see in the photos attached, the wall looks perfectly normal in plan, and in elevation, when there aren't any windows and doors inserted into the wall. As soon as I insert a single window or door, it almost looks like th wall goes to Coarse detail, but only this wall in the entire view does this. It also doens't show the detail of the door and window, I know I had this problem before, but for some reason I can't get it to work again. It even looks fine in elevation and 3D, it's just in plan, it does this. Any suggestions?

Any chance you have two walls overlapping?

In my opinion, and like Dimitri already mentioned, chance is great this is due to overlapping walls or extended wall layers.

Can you upload the file for us to have a look at?

I am having this problem too right now. A Brick-Mtl Stud wall is blank in section.
It shows up fine in Coarse mode, but can't get it to to work in section. Just this one wall type.
I'm going to submit a support request. Can't figure it out. Checked hidden elements, workset visibility, object style overrides, no clues.

...Of course it would be nice if I 'could' file a support request...
I guess support requests are down for right now.
I see some other threads on that issue.
