I'm working on Revit Detailing.
In AutoCAD I created custom toolbars which would have rebar, lumber, plywood and the like in them. I could simply click on the Lumber toolbar it would drop down and I'd select 2x4 which would insert a 2x4 block. This process allowed for quick access to detailing components.
In Revit I go to the Drafting Design bar and select Detail Components, then go up to the Type selector and browse through a long list trying to find what I'm looking for. This process isn't much different then in AutoCAD where I could go into the 'insert' menu and browse through its long list. Neither of which is how I'd like to work.
Does Revit allow for custom toolbars to be created to do what I want to do? How do you deal with this? There must be a 'better' way to do this. Please show me the light.
Thanks for the help. Revit-on.
