Has anyone run across stacked walls not showing up when the view discipline is set to structural? I have a wood stud wall on a concrete curb that will only show in Arch or Coordination views. However each of the wall types it is constructed from show up fine in structural views as well as the stacked wall it was duplicated from. Any thoughts? I can't seem to find any settings that determine whether or not a stacked wall is bearing or non bearing and it doesn't seem to matter what the wall function is set to.

Funny, I am having the exact same problem....I'll keep looking and post if I find any answers.

This happens to us often. Fortunately, we are a multi discipline firm and I can easily walk over and have it changed. The wall has to have structural usage designation in the Arch model. Hope this is what you are both looking for.

Thanks Jennifer....unfortunately, I don't even see that instance parameter in the stacked wall property like i usually see. Any thought on how that might have been omitted?

ok...I found a way to work around the visibility but I am still not sure why it did it to begin with.
You need to look at the stacked wall in either section or 3d view to be able to tab through the "subwalls"....once the part of the wall that you want is highlighted you can go into properties and change the usage for that particular subwall to "Bearing".
Go figure why it's like that though

Awesome, that worked just fine... too bad everytime I draw a stacked wall I am going to have to switch to coordination visibility and go through each one to make sure they are bearing.

FYI....I just realized that changing wall usage can also be done through wall schedules. It's much easier to find the "subwall" and change it on the schedule vs. finding each instance within a drawing. Good luck!
