Any chance we'll see a search box under the Project Browser?!

I was thinking how much easier it would be to have a search box in the Project Browser to search inside all the drawings, sheets, families... at the same time. People mainly have their own naming strategy but it would be A GREAT improvement not having to scroll down and manually search for that tiny piece of furniture you can't seem to find....

What do you think? Maybe this will reach autodesk's ears and they'll include it... it should be fairly easy to implement....

I used to repair and maintain electronic equipment. When handed malfunctioning equipment I was told more often than not 'there can't be much wrong with it, it was working fine just before'. My immediate assumption was the person before me was a ****head and knew nothing of electronics and physics.

My point is that it is sometimes not wise to comment on how easy or hard things are unless you have a good knowledge of the field of expertise and even then you are making some generalised assumptions.

My assumption is that if it were easy to implement (say, half a days work) it would have been done.

That aside, would love to see any sort of reorganization of the project browser that makes it easier to manage sheets, views, families, etc.

If you put it on the wishlist it is very likely I will vote for it.

When i said it was faily easy to implement i meant about the impact on other components. As it should not influence the rest of the codebase, hence less testing and impementation problems.

I submitted the wish... so i guess all we can do is wait...
