3D or Isometric Detail

I am trying to make a 3D / isometric detail of the copping where two different wall types meet so I can show how to cut the copping. Is this possible? I could show it in 2D but I think it would be much easier to show in 3d / isometric.

If you're talking about an isometric view of a part of the building you can achieve this with a section box and a crop region. I use this method for views of kitchens, staircases, etc., to give a quick 3D indication to people. If you want a detail component in 3D then I think you may be aproaching things in the wrong way as detail components are 2D elements and therefore wont respond to any change in camera position.

If you give a little more detail I am sure someone will be able to answer.
