blocks do not turn off when scale changed

are blocks suppose to work like text: turn off when an annotative scale is seleted that is not associated with the block?

They scale great...in source dwgs and xref'ed dwgs...they just do not turn off.

Have run AUDIT a number of times...no change to visibility...yet.
Always on...at the last associated annotative scale.

next to your annotation scale button on the bottom are 2 scale icons - one has a lightbulb, the other has a lightning bolt - turn them both off.

the lightbulb will display objects at all scales, regardless of the current annotation scale.

the lightning bolt will add any scale changes to all objects that are currently visible.

both are off in both the source and host dwgs of the xref. they do not turn off in either.

the blocks are converted r9-r10-r12-r14-redrawn in 2005 migrated to-2006-redrawn in 2007 migrated to 2008....lost all of my Ver* blocks when my 5 1/4" floppy outlived it's magnetic personality.
