Keyboard Shortcut for Ref Planes

Is it possible to assign a shortcut for toggling the visibility of ref planes?

Nope! Just the 'top level' commands get that honor.
What about using the temp hide/isolate command?
Select one and hide the category. Reset to turn them on again. A few clicks more than you're after but it beats mining into the VG menu
