Is is possible to create design options and have two different level heights for each options?
We need to revise the roof height for our building due to costs. Customer would like to see two presentations. One with the original height of the roof and other drawing to showing new, shorter in height roof.
any ideas out there?
Thanks

We did this exact thing using design options. We created a new level in the project (Lower Roof or the like) and then copied our roof to that level. We then copied all the other elements that were effected to both design options, and each roof to the appropriate option. No problems. We ended up going for the lower roof (unfortunately) and just accepted primary and then deleted the higher level.

Nice! Thanks. Good to know that it's safe to do that

I never said it was safe...
Just kidding. Give it a shot. Most of the time it works great. You'll probably get a nasty sounding error when you accept primary (elements deleted - duh, rooms without bounding objects, etc...). I would save a copy before accepting, and then accept from a new central file. That way, if anything goes horribly wrong, you can fix it. We didn't have anything happen this time, but in previous attempts with design options we weren't as lucky. Mainly we had to learn how to use the tool, and our first attempts we didn't know yet and forgot to include some critical elements in the one we ended up accepting. Lessons learned...
