Plan Region changes display of non-regioned walls

We ran into a situation recently where we were placing plan regions so that we could display a row of clerestory windows on an exterior wall. The walls are stacked walls and when we place the region it seems to act properly within the area indicated. However, whatever the plan region crosses (on exterior walls) seems to turn their display off.
Any ideas?

I can't say I've ever had this happen but I almost never use stacked walls.
Have you tried swapping the stacked wall with a simple wall to narrow down the cause?

I'll have to try that but if it is the problem we're too far into this one with not enough time left to rework all the exterior walls to fix it.
Even though it's a stacked wall this type of bug should never happen.
