i can trim the straight wall under the stair (upper stair) to match the profile of the stair, i do not seem to be able trim (edit profile) of the curve stair at my lower curved stair. Is this doable?

Here is one way it can be done. This solution is for a wall top that follows a curved stair as a rail but the same idea can be used to make the wal topp follow the underside of the stair.

You could also bundle a "railing" in the stair family but make it as a wall profile.
Or use a thread as the wall (http://revit-alize.blogspot.com/)

This is how I was able to solve the problem of the curved wall.
After drawing the curved stairs, and the curved wall, in plan view, I split the wall at each tread, and in elevation view I align the top of the wall to the top of the tread.

See attached file.

I was able to do this very quickly by extruding a 'roof', attaching the wall top to the roof and then turning off the roof element in the view.

For the stair, in an elevation view I picked the underside of the stringer as the linework for the extruded roof and made the roof .01" thick.

Seems to work.
