Grid Line "Break"

Does anyone know a work around to get the grid lines to behave similar to a "Section Line" in regards to breaking (cut on each side of a building but leave bubbles in place).

Unfortunately it can't be done. If you really need it, you could create a family that would allow you to "break" the line and simply make the grid white in the type properties.
Then you can lock/align that family to the original grid
