Revit 2008 - Shadow Visibility

Hi all.

I'm having trouble getting my shadows to display correctly. On one floor plan view, the shadows appear fine. However, on a different floor plan view, the shadows will not show up at all, regardless of how I toggle the option.

I did notice an error message that I quickly skimmed... it said something along the lines of "Shadows will not display if shaded regions are set to foreground..." Something along those lines. I can't give you an exact quote, because I can't get the error message to pop up again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i had a similar problem and if you go to the advanced model graphics and then sun and shadow settings you can pick where the groundplane shadow level is.

now that i actually read the whole thread i can give you the actual problem. go to the view properties and click the color scheme button. towards the bottom is an option to display in either foreground or background. set it to background and your shadows will appear
