I'm using an Add-on package for Autocad designed for the Facade industry and in the sheet metal section of the program it uses a Bending Add-on table. Can anyone help? The program is called Athena and it's out of Germany.

What is the question with that Bending Table?

See the attached file. Where I'm getting lost...it's asking for a bend ADD, and I don't know what it wants. Whenever I've figured sheet metal I've subtracted out material to accomidate the stretch. If you look at the file attached it will show you the table, the explaination from the help for that program.

Ok, read it this looks like a syntax issue.
In these programmers minds each time
the sheet metal is bent to various radii,
they know that it uses more metal to accomplish
this. This table would then take the correct amount
out (the subtraction you are used to doing)
So for like a 4' panel with like 3 - 1/2" folds
it would then ADD in the fold information so the
fabricator would begin with more or less 4'-6 1/2"
and once the folds are made the final panel is 4'.

It looks like you are trying to input a negative value
and it doesn't like that because it is already doing
the subtraction from those values.

Hi Zach

Please note I've *moved* this Topic (Thread) from the CAD Mgmt. General Forum (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=119) to this one as I feel this particular Forum is a more appropriate place for such Topics (Threads).

Thanks, Mike
