PLEASE HELP! ENTIRE CLASS UNABLE TO FIGURE OUT CIVIL 3D! I'm a senior Civil Engineering student at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, and I'm currently taking a Senior Design Land Development class. In the past, our school has always used Land Desktop for designs, but this year our school decided to switch to AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008. The problem with this situation, other than that we are not used to this program, is that none of the faculty at our school are even remotely familiar with the program either. There are 5 groups of 5 students in our class and we have all had the most difficult time trying to successfully use this program. Just recently, our group spent over 20 hours attempting to figure out how to create corridors for intersecting alignments. Luckily, one of the students in my group figured it out and we ended up having to explain the process to the rest of the class. We have attempted to contact Autodesk support, as well as many other entities, to help us with our problems, but to no avail. If there is ANYONE who has any advice, or possibly a tutorial on subdivision creation from conception to completion, my class and I would greatly appreciate it. My email is KM115904@ohio.edu and the email of our instructor is hermanL@ohio.edu if you want to make sure that I am not taking any shortcuts or the like. Thanks so much and I really hope someone can help. We've spent five weeks on this project already and we are progressively falling more and more behind.

Probably the best thing to do is to watch the archived webcasts.
www.autodesk.com/civil3dwebcasts
There are several on intersection design. There is also an Autodesk Offical Training Courseware (AOTC) for intersection design.

Good luck! If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask them here.

There are other AOTC manuals available including one on residential grading. Check HERE (http://store.digitalriver.com/store/adsk/DisplayProductByTypePage/categoryID.10033100)and scroll down to AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Here are a couple of other resources:

I recommend to people that are first learing the software to take a class with their reseller. It really seams odd to me that your school teaches a class using Civil 3D but can't teach you to use the software.
