Exporting to Acad problems

I have been given the task of exporting views to acad. We have gone thru the export layer setting and set that to our needs. Yesterday it was discovered that text was not exporting to the bylayer condition for color. The text was exporting to the same color as in revit. Revit color = black, Acad color = black. I set the "Layer and Properties" to "All properties bylayer, no overrides". This solved the text situation but created a new problem. The grid lines now exported to continous instead of center as in Revit. I can solve both problems by changing the "Layer and Properties" to "All properties bylayer, new layer for overrides". But this creates about 3 times the amout of layers and the consultants don't want them. I am I missing a setting in Revit that will solve all of the problems?
