tape measure

hi,
i'm new to revit [rs2008]
the tape measure is in polar format (dist & angle) and i'd like cartesian (x-y coord).
i'm unable to find anything in the help & my search of augi revit came up empty.

could someone give me a push?

The tape measure is what it is....not configurable.

What you may need is a tool similar to what Tommy Lee Jones had in "Men in Black".

One zap, and you forget everything you learned about Autocad...:)

maybe using a Detail line and put Spot coortinates @both ends will do the trick
they somehow stick to the ends of the line and you can drag them around as you wish
you can even change N-E to X Y in the tag family and if you use it a lot maybe make a Detail
