View Full Version : Interior elevations misbehaving?

So, I have to put this out there after puzzling over this for a week. We recently completed rolling out the new build of RA2008 (_0810) and all of a sudden the interior elevations are no longer snapping to the room boundaries, but are acting instead as building section/elevations. Has anyone else seen this lately? The floors are on, rooms are on, etc. It worked three weeks ago and now this week I'm stumped. Any ideas? I'm sure there is a pretty simple explanation...
Thank you!
All the best,
LC

We'd be interested in this solution too. Our Interiors department has been fighting with this for a while and hasn't figured it out yet. I haven't had time to solve it, so if anybody has any ideas I'd be interested in hearing them.
Thanks.

After some poking around, this may be an obvious reason, but it appears to be due to linked files. It is almost as if Revit cannot discern the difference between interior and exterior when the room bounding elements are from a linked Revit file.

Linked file behavior:
I have noticed when dimensioning a wall, of a linked model, that the dim will only jumb to the "Face" of the wall. It is impossible to dimension to the "Core" of the wall.
Perhaps this behavior is linked "pun intended" to your problem.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem? Been experiencing the same thing since upgrading builds, and we currently have no linked Revit files in the project.
